The Doctor remarks dryly, "Unfortunately. Been though different times and different planet and it still exists."

"If you have people, you will eventually have greed." People, he says. Not humans. Plenty of creatures can be greedy; have you met dragons?

The Doctor gives a firm head nod, "I don't like it when comes down to greed ever. But it's not just humans it's everyone. Everyone who can establish a society. Even without money greed can exist. Greed for power."

For a moment he's remembering his deals with King George. "Greed also makes people very stupid." Said with a distant look and a nod.

"Yup." The Doctor remarks with a tired tone, "We both have stories. But isn't that what anyone is in the end? A story."

"That's the thing. A person is never just one story, and a change in narrator is going to change the tone and the role." Even when the Author as a concept might as well be God in some worlds.

"Well - if you want to start talking about the multiverse than yes, we have infinite stories. And you're right. You want a good narrator."

"Even without multiple universes. Everyone that's ever encountered you would have a different story to tell at your funeral, I promise. And not all of them would be good."
